HISTORY OF ANTIBIOTICS

Since the golden age of antibiotics, which started when Alexander Fleming developed penicillin, many discoveries have been made, such as the discovery of methicillin and streptomycin, and the development of MRSA. Current studies have shown that antibiotic resistance is a more prevalent problem than ever, and that antibiotics may play a different role in nature than we think.
