A few breakthroughs will need to happen before further development could be done. A clean and secure place is needed to store the serum, some ethical concerns need to be addressed, and technology needs to be improved in targeted gene editing. When these issues are resolved, the AMR serum would be able to be used around the world to prevent antibiotic resistant infections from spreading.
